The Blues were born in the
cotton fields in the Mississippi Delta, the heart of the Mississippi Embayment(MISE)
Study Unit. The sound clip that is attached to the MISE Home Page is a WAV
file of "You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now" by B.B. King, who has often
been referred to as The Ambassador of the Blues. B.B. King was
born between Itta Bena and Indianola, Mississippi, just south
of the Mississippi Embayment's synoptic site on the Sunflower River and
east of the intensive fixed site on Bogue Phalia.
